Ketch 22 Staysail

Cat Ketchin' in San Francisco Bay

After a memorable day at the San Francisco Blues Festival, Ketch 22 and crew sailed a lazy course home.   Here are a few pictures taken by Greg Doppman, an astronomer who was working at NASA Ames Research Center at the time.   The pictures taken from altitude, were shot from the top of Angel Island, where Greg had hiked after a barbecue at Ayala Cove.   A glorious day.   As a footnote, the San Francisco Blues Festival, although the longest running blues festival in the country at the time, is no longer with us, as a result of a shortage of sponsors.   Total bummer.
